Independence Day
Independence Day Celebration
This year we will celebrate our 74th Independence Day. But due to covid-19 we can't celebrate it at our colleges. Those moments are really memorable when we gather in college ground for flag hosting, attend the whole event and at the end of event eat those laddu that are given by college.
Those patriotic songs and that atmosphere makes us feel to much pleasing. Some students prepare some cultural event such as dance, singing, short plays, speeches and poems for Independence Day celebration.
Preparation for Independence Day:
Many clubs are formed for the preparation of independence day such as dance club, decoration club, singing club, club for short play, etc. The preparation for independence day celebration starts before several weeks.
Bunking of classes for preparation of independence day celebration is also one of the happiest moment.
Dance club prepares for solo and group dance on various patriotic songs, Singing club prepares for singing of patriotic song. A short play is also prepared by skit club to show that how much our freedom fighters contribute for getting independence for our generation. Some students prepare poems, stories and speeches too.
The Fun on Independence Day:
Some of the hostlers ask their friends or roommates to lock them in room when they are going to attend the ceremony so that they don't have to go to the college ground and can sleep for more time. And if door is locked from outside then no warden can assume that someone is inside in room. So no one will disturb them.
But due to this, there are only few students in flag hosting ceremony because most of the students lock themselves in their room and may sleep in it. So, the teachers get idea that where most of the students are.
Then warden check all the rooms and take those students out from the rooms and send them in flag hosting ceremony. Then those who want to sleep also have to go to the college ground. When the head of Institute starts conveying his/her speech, students want that speech to finish as soon as possible. Some times that short speech by Head of Institute take about half an hour.
Some students who are feeling too dizzy and sleepy, suddenly get too energetic when the cultural events are going on and start shouting slogans and passing some non-offensive comments. Those people are really the life of whole event because without them all the program become boring.
There are also some people who just attending the program for getting sweets. Because rarely they get something good food from college unlike the food of mess.
And, after the end of program the photo session is too much memorable. The photo session after the whole event is much longer than the event itself. All these things are really unforgettable and made our day.
Day of Celebration:
All the students and teachers gather in college main ground and the program starts with the Flag Hosting by the Head of Institute. Then all the people sing our National Anthem and after that a small speech is given by the Head of Institute.
Then the program move forward with the cultural activities. The solo and group dance performance on patriotic songs, the acts for our freedom fighters, those poems and speeches, all things made as realize that this day is how much important for us. So many people sacrifices their lives for free our country from Britishers. We also realize that also now so many soldiers are there in border as a shield of our country to protect us. Their contributions are priceless for us.
At the end of ceremony, the college staff distributes sweets to students.
Contribution of Freedom Fighters:
Freedom Fighters have played an extensive role for the independence of our country. The contribution of Abdul Gafar Khan, Ashfaqulla Khan, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Begum Hazrat Mahal, Bipin Chandra Pal, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Chittaranjan Das, Dadabhai Naroji, Jawaharlal Nehru, Khudiram Bose, Lakshmi Sahgal, Lala Hardayal, Lala Lajpat Rai, Mahadev Govind Ranade, Mahatma Gandhi, Mangal Pandey, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Motilal Nehru, Ram Manohar Lohia, Ram Prasad Bismil, Ram Singh Kuka, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Rash Behari Bose, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Saheed Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, Shubash Chandra Bose, Sukhdev, and of so many people are unforgetable.
Also our Indian Army is a gem of our country and those people are priceless for our Nation.
